“This is a post about our new Reading logs:
Monthly Reading Logs
Starting in September, we will be having a monthly Reading Log activity. Each time your child reads a book or has a book read to them, they get to color in a shape on their Reading Log.As they color in the shape, talk with them about the book. You can ask questions like:
What was your favorite part?
Was there a part that made you feel happy, or sad, or worried?
Have you ever done something that one of the characters did in the book?
Does this book remind you of another book you’ve read?If it is a nonfiction book:
What was something surprising or interesting that you learned?
What else would you like to know about the topic?
Is there someone you can share some cool new facts with?

When your child has completed their Reading Log, bring it to the library’s front desk and they can choose an item from our Prize Box.”
