Daniel Larios is the media spokesperson for the UFW Foundation and writes:
“For more than 15 years, the UFW Foundation has been an organization that has consistently and tirelessly fought for the rights of farm workers. Since 2020, we have provided emergency services to farm workers hit hard by the COVID-19 Pandemic, which included food donations, PPE equipment, vaccination events, and financial assistance.
We are trying to spread the word to agricultural workers who might qualify for the Farm and Food Workers Relief (FFWR) Program. This is a U.S. Department of Agriculture program that would provide qualifying workers a one-time $600 relief payment for expenses they incurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The UFW Foundation is one of the organizations selected by USDA to distribute the funds.
