Remembrance Run 2026 – Friday Aug 14 Schedule:

3pm – JOURNEYERS ONLY! Arrival at the Bernie Giron Park next to Yerington Paiute Tribe administration at 171 Campbell Lane (turn right on W. Loop to reach parking lot).

Remembrance Run Check In and tent setup for journeyers who are camping; please be mindful of YPT staff still at work. We have a packed pre-run schedule, so use this time to get your tent and sleeping bag situated.

———–

5pm – OPEN TO COMMUNITY! – Laika Press will start printing shirts using Ku’s Remaining Native design. We will have a limited supply of orange or white shirts you can purchase for $5, or you can bring your own item and have it printed for free! We are using dark ink for this one, so bring a light colored shirt/sweatshirt, cotton works best.

We will have a separate station for making tobacco ties to give as an offering to the children’s graves at Stewart Indian School. If you aren’t coming on the Remembrance Run and would still like to support what we are doing, please join us in the park and make some ties. If you’ve never made them, we will show you how. You can ask one of the runners to carry your prayers, or meet us at the cemetery on Sunday.

6pm – Dinner will be provided by the JOM Parent Committee. Please respect the effort the journeyers are prepping for and let them eat first.

7:30pm – Remaining Native will be shown for the journeyers and community. Director Paige Bethmann and her crew will be hosting the screening and joining the journey. Thanks to our partner FunFlicks for providing the outdoor screening setup!! Funding provided by Reno Tahoe Athletics, Native Voters Alliance Nevada and individual donations – THANK YOU!!

10pm – Lights out.
