The Board of Commissioners will be asked to approve a Request for Proposals in regard to the Solid Waste Disposal Franchise. The Board held a public workshop in August on this issue and directed staff to return with a proposed RFP on October 21, 2021. The Board heard the item on October 21, 2021 and requested additional amendments to the RFP. Community Development Director Andrew Haskins will present the final draft to the Board on November 18, 2021.
Lyon County anticipates releasing the RFP this month and awarding the franchise in January or February of 2022.
