Obituary for Gary Roy Aiazzi: March 20, 1941 – November 27, 2025

Native Nevadan Gary Aiazzi died peacefully on Nov. 27, 2025, at his Gardnerville home with his beloved wife Cynthia by his side. He was 84.

Gary was born on March 20, 1941, in Yerington, to Roy and Mary Aiazzi. He was joined by his sister Gayle.

Gary and Cynthia married in 1987, and they were inseparable from that time on.

Gary had a career in law enforcement and the gaming industry. Gary was the Water Master for the Allerman Virginia Ditch Company for many years. His expertise in the water and irrigation systems will be greatly missed in Northern Nevada.

Gary was an active parishioner at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville as a member of the Knights of Columbus and an usher for the 8 a.m. Mass.

In addition to Cynthia, Gary is survived by his son Rick.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at St. Gall Catholic Church on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow at the St. Gall Pastoral Center.
