Contributing Pizen Switch Times writer Quest Lakes reported:
“Spotlight on Yosselin Vasquez-Madera of the Nevada Volunteers Youth Council!
Yosselin undertook a project to revitalize Mason Town Park in Yerington. She and her team diligently removed weeds, cleaned graffiti, repainted trash cans, equipment, and canopies, and replaced damaged items like basketball hoops and picnic tables. Additionally, plans were made to replace dead trees with new ones.
Throughout the council year, Yosselin was able to gather 15 volunteers, 13 of which were youth, who served 83 service hours. Yosselin served 61 service hours herself!”
