Mason Valley wildlife photographer Roberta Bryant wrote: “We have snakes every year but I have not had a rattlesnake on my property since I cleared my property to the fence line.”

“The gopher snakes (also known as bull snakes) and Coachwhip snakes are still here…Notice the snake made a nice place to lay and wait for prey. They coil up and wait for prey to come into their space and they strike.”

This circular patterned print was right in front of a Coyote den… the snake must “have been a big one from the print he left. So if you find a circle like this it was a rattlesnake.”
