On July 9, 2026, a news release announced that Carlyle Investment Firm had agreed to sell Copia Power to EQT. Questions regarding whether the ownership change could have any impact on the proposed Monarch Data Center, including its legal or procedural status, are best addressed by the Lyon County District Attorney.

Pizen Switch Times will continue following the proposed Monarch Data Center as it moves through the Lyon County public review process and will provide coverage of future Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners meetings.
