Lyon County NV – July 3, 2026
Message of the Week 07/03/2026
Tomorrow we celebrate the 250th birthday of our great Country, the greatest Country in the history of the world! Our Nation’s freedom was secured 250 years ago when courageous men and women put their very lives in harm’s way to ensure our independence and freedom. Brave men and women selflessly continue that fight every day. Many of those freedoms we take for granted, as you wave your flag tomorrow or glance up at the fireworks, remember the sacrifices that were made in order to create/maintain those freedoms, and the greatest Country the world has ever seen.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office will be overstaffing each area of the County, including a large traffic enforcement operation to ensure the safety of our community members. As you celebrate, please do so safely. Please drive responsibly, look out for your neighbors, and help ensure everyone has the opportunity to enjoy this Independence Day with their loved ones.
From the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office to you, thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving Lyon County.
May God continue to bless our community, our state, and the United States of America.

Respectfully,
Sheriff Brad Pope
