Obituary for Clarence Louis Carlos: May 1, 1947 to November 24, 2024

Clarence Louis Carlos, beloved son, brother, father, grandparent, uncle, friend and lifelong resident of Yerington, Nevada passed away on November 24, 2024 in Carson City, NV, at the age of 77.

Clarence was born on May 1,1947 to Joe Vierra Carlos and Rosie Nevada Carlos in Yerington NV. Clarence was the middle child of five children. Clarence graduated from Yerington High School in 1966.

After graduating high school, Clarence remained in Yerington working as a butcher for Thrifty Market and Lyon Market. Clarence also worked as a milk deliveryman for Meadow Gold Dairy and Valley Dairy.

Clarence enjoyed hunting, fishing and exploring Nevada. Clarence loved his family and was called Uncle Butch by all of his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father Joe, Mother Rosie, Sisters Julie McHugh and Susan Hasslberger. He is survived by his sons Joe (Janell) Carlos, Hawthorne NV, and Anthony Carlos, Yerington NV, Grandchildren David (Dean) Carlos, Mount Washington KY and Alicia Carlos, Las Vegas NV, sisters Ramona (Jim) Schmid, Ione CA and Elaine (Bill) Stienbach, Sitka AK, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in the spring and will be announced.
