UPDATE to : The Mystery of Dennis Harrell’s 1950 Ford Truck

Mason Valley, Nevada ~ November 9th, 2023

On October 25th, 2023, Jamie Chavez of Yerington sent out a request in the Pizen Switch Times asking for clues to help her find her father’s beloved 1950 Ford Truck that he had to sell in 2000 when the family “fell on hard times”.  Jamie’s dad, Dennis Harrell, passed away in 2010…and the family still reminisces about the things they’d done and the places they’d gone with the “old Ford” and their dad.

It’s been less than a month since Jamie’s request for help…and sure enough, with the assistance from locals and people who used to be local, Jamie and her family have “brought the old Ford home”!

Jamie wrote: “Update on the old ford truck. I found it and bought it back. Larry wasn’t crazy about selling it to me at first but he came around. I can’t thank you enough. I don’t think I would have found it without your help. It’s been 17 years since it was sold. Now its back home. It will take alot of work to get it back on the road. Work I will gladly do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
