What educational seminars/programs topics would you like to see offered by UNR Extension – Lyon County?

Yerington, Nevada ~ Hiren A Bhavsar is University of Nevada, Reno Extension Educator for Lyon County based at the Yerington office located at 504 S. Main Street. He is also an Assistant Professor with the University of Nevada Reno and earned his doctorate degree as an agricultural economist whose research focus has been on environmental economics, organic farming and biotechnology.

Also working at the Extension Office in Yerington are Judy Schlegel, Judy Halterman and Hillary Dashiell. Locals and Lyon County residents are encouraged to stop in to the office to meet the staff and learn about what University of Nevada, Reno Extension in Lyon County has to offer.

This dynamic team is requesting assistance of Lyon County residents to participate in a very brief (under 3 minutes online) Needs Assessment to ‘to reach out to community of all ages, regarding the needs of informal educational programs (topics related to health, business, professional development and agriculture) which can help them navigate life successfully’.
