Digiscoping owls: Yerington Photojournalist Richard Massey has been receiving quite a few questions about what equipment he uses for wildlife photography, and writes, "One of my favorite set-ups is my phone mounted on a spotting scope. Yeringtonite Roberta Bryant took this picture of me at the Mason Valley Wildlife Management area, just north of town. The second picture shows what I was photographing. The Burrowing Owls were about 50 yards away."

Registration Open for Youth Basketball! |
Basketball season is just around the corner and we're excited to open registration for our annual Youth Basketball League here at the Club. Although located in Yerington, youth from all BGCMV clubhouses and communities can join regardless of membership status. Our league offers the chance to learn the basics of basketball and working as a team, including dribbling, shooting, passing (Triple Threat!) and much more. This is a great league for beginners! The league runs from November through February and features three age groups. Give your up-and-coming hooper a leg-up to refine their skills and have an awesome time by registering today! Plus, the Club is thrilled to offer a travel ball program again this year in Silver Springs and Yerington! Open practices in Yerington are from 6-7:30 p.m., with 3rd through 7th grade on Monday and Wednesday, and 8th through 12th grade Tuesday and Thursday. Finally, it's not too early to start planning for youth summer ball. If interested in joining in Silver Springs for the summer travel ball team next year, please contact Cody von Linsowe at cvonlinsowe@lyoncsd.org. |
