For the first time ever, Night in the Country held a Holiday Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament where players won everything from Pass Packages to #NITCNV 2023 to gift cards to the Grand Champion Trophy! Presented by All Out Companies, LLC., player buy-in included dinner, a variety of beverages at the no-host bar, cocktail service, casino quality tables, raffles prizes, and more. 100% of the proceeds benefitted Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley and provided 700 warm hoodie jackets, winter clothes, gifts and food to the clubhouses in Dayton, Silver Springs, Yerington, and Hawthorne.
This event premiered on Veteran’s Day 2022 and sponsors, players, and spectators decided that it would be fitting to donate the considerable tip monies to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Yerington Post 8084. On December 28th, Travis Crowder and Nick Beaton of the Boys & Girls Club met with VFW Post 8084 Commander Ted Mazurowski and Quartermaster Alfred Bond to present the Post with an $800 check.
Commander Mazurowski and Quartermaster Bond served our country in the military and continue to serve their community (along with other members of VFW Post 8084) by helping veterans and their families, as well as widows of veterans.
