Jayson Smith Takes Giant Bull Elk With Bow Hunting Tag in Central Nevada

Local teacher & coach Vicky Smith Ow-wing reported that her nephew Jayson Smith (son of Vicky’s brother Gary who also grew up in Mason Valley) had a successful hunt last weekend in Central Nevada.

Jayson took the giant bull elk while bow hunting. Jayson needed the assistance of several others in his hunting party and their pack horses to bring the elk home.

Jayson and his father Gary call Winnemucca their home where they both work in the mining industry.
