BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TO MEET IN FERNLEY ON MARCH 17, 2022

The Board will be addressing Ordinance Bill No. 22-04: to Approve an Ordinance amending Lyon County Code Title 5, Chapter 5.01.02, by prohibiting the licensing of a cannabis consumption lounge as a business; Title 7, Chapter 2, by prohibiting the consumption of cannabis and cannabis products in a public place; and providing for the severability, constitutionality and effective date thereof; and other matters properly relating thereto.

The Board will also be addressing Ordinance Bill No. 22-05: To approve an Ordinance amending Lyon County Code Title 7, Chapter 7.02.04, by repealing certain requirements, involving political signs; and leaving in effect prohibition of political signs on Lyon County property or Lyon County rights of way; and providing for the severability, constitutionality and effective date thereof; and other matters properly relating thereto.

The Lyon County Utilities Department will provide the Board with an update on projects

The Lyon County Comptroller will be asking the Board to authorize funding $75,000 to replace the roof on the library in Yerington.

The Board is slated to address the Fiscal Year Budget on April 13, 2022 and address ARPA funding on April 14, 2022 both of those meetings will be in Yerington. The public can participate in County Commission meetings in public as well as through Zoom:
