Obituary for Geneva Ruth Neuhauser: November 15, 1941 — April 10, 2026

Yerington NV – May 5, 2026

Geneva Ruth Neuhauser (Galantuomini), 84, of Yerington, Nevada, passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2026. She was born on November 15, 1941, and lived a life centered on family, friends, and quiet strength.

Geneva was a devoted mother and a steady, caring presence to those who knew her. She was a kind and compassionate person who made friends wherever she went, and her warm spirit touched many lives.

While living in Yerington, Geneva held several positions throughout the community. She worked for the Lyon County School District in the lunchroom and as a school bus driver. She also worked at a local hardware store, the dairy, and in the Lyon County Recorder’s Office. In 1981, she moved to Tonopah, where she began working for Nye County. She dedicated many years of service there before retiring in 2003. She spent her work years between Tonopah and Pahrump. After her retirement, she lived in Pahrump full time. In December 2024, she returned to Yerington, where she spent her final years.

She found great joy in simple pleasures and creative pursuits, especially knitting and crocheting. She was also deeply involved in her community, remaining very active in 4-H during her children’s younger years. In the 1970s, she served on the Board for the Annual Fair and Rodeo, contributing her time and energy to help bring the community together.

She is survived by her four children: Kim Neuhauser; Karen Johnson (Randy); Kristie Neuhauser; and Kelly Neuhauser (Cathy); and her sister, Georgia Workman. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Kevin Foster, Kaileen Foster, Evan Neuhauser (Hailey), Mariah Johnson (Johnny Butler), and Breana Neuhauser; and a loving great-grandmother to her great-grandson, Lukas Butler.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Sciarani (Hughes) and George Galantuomini and her brother, John Galantuomini.

Geneva’s memory will be cherished and carried forward by her family and all who were fortunate to know her.
