On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, seven students from Yerington High School competed in the 2026 Poetry Out Loud – Lyon County Semi-Finals at the Jeanne Dini Cultural Center in Yerington. The students competed by reciting poems they selected from the Poetry Out Loud website.
Congratulations to Mari Basaca Fuentes! This is her second year in a row winning the Lyon County School District ‘Poetry Out Loud’ competition.
