Norma “Vonney” Yvonne Quilici left this earth and went home to God, unexpectedly, on September 10, 2025, at her home. She was 87.
She was born on March 20, 1938, in Phoenix, Arizona. She moved to San Bernardino, California, and attended Pacificana High School. She spent the last 67 years in Yerington, Nevada, where she built a life rooted in love, humor, and quiet strength – very much a woman shaped by the desert she called home.
Vonney was a clerk, homemaker, farmer’s wife, artist, business owner, and most importantly, a mom. She approached every role with a deep sense of care and a generous heart. She was steady, practical, and strong, the kind of woman who didn’t need much but gave endlessly.

Above all, Vonney loved spending time with her family, especially Siena and Raquella. She enjoyed taking pictures, dancing in the kitchen, going to lunch, watching a movie, or playing a game of cards with Omar and Marianne. She loved an afternoon of fishing or taking a drive – often choosing the long way home just to enjoy the wide Nevada sky. She looked forward to her weekly visits with her friend Mariah. Those who knew her best would assure you that she had a lifelong love of getting her hair done once a week, never missing an appointment and always leaving with a confident smile. Her family will forever remember her gentle routines, her unwavering support, her consistency and steadiness, and the way she could make even an ordinary day feel comfortable and special.
Vonney is preceded in death by her mother, Harriette Turnbow (Pamperin), her father, John Turnbow, and her son, John Stout. Vonney is survived by her significant other, Omar Brown; daughter, Marianne Menesini (Jason Baden); granddaughters, Lindsey Gucciardo (Dennis Gucciardo), Audrey Micca, Siena Menesini-Baden, and Raquella Menesini-Baden; great-grandchildren, Chloe Micca and Chase Gucciardo; and her favorite cousin, Larry Jacobs. She is also survived by her Brown family – son, Sydney Brown (Michelle Brown); and grandchildren, Raymond Brown, Donovan Brown, Hailey Robertson, and Makenzie Holland.
Her memorial service will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., at Freitas Funeral Home, 25 Hwy 208, Yerington, Nevada. Family and friends are invited to sign her online guest book at www.FRFH.net
