Chihuahuas Defeat Banana’s Behind Strong Performance From Aliyah L:

Aliyah L struck out 11 batters as the pitcher led Chihuahuas past Banana’s 7-4 on Thursday. Aliyah surrendered one hit and two runs over four innings while walking three.

Banana’s got on the board in the first inning after an error scored one run.

Mia G grounded out, which helped Chihuahuas tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

Chihuahuas captured the lead, 6-1, in the bottom of the second after Devanny R singled, Romina R walked, Addilyn V walked, Aliyah walked, and Mia grounded out, each scoring one run.

A single by Lydia H extended the Chihuahuas lead to 7-1 in the bottom of the third inning.

Lydia earned the win for Chihuahuas. The hurler gave up zero hits and two runs over one inning, striking out one and walking three. Yadhira F took the loss for Banana’s. The reliever went two innings, surrendering one run (zero earned) on two hits, striking out four and walking two. Angie L stepped in the circle first for Banana’s. The left-handed pitcher gave up one hit and six runs (five earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking seven.

Mia drove the middle of the lineup, leading Chihuahuas with two runs batted in. Lydia, Devanny, and Brianna L each collected one hit for Chihuahuas. Chihuahuas had a strong eye at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Aliyah, Addisyn B, and Aubree M led the team with two free passes each. Aliyah, Addisyn, Lydia, and Devanny each stole multiple bases for Chihuahuas. Chihuahuas ran wild on the base paths, tallying 10 stolen bases for the game.

Doris P led the team with one run batted in. Amber A led Banana’s with one hit in two at bats. Sienna B, Angie, Kayana B, Madilynn J, and Leslie M each stole multiple bases for Banana’s. Banana’s had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Banana’s ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 13 stolen bases for the game.
