Tom Bromley, 70 years old, passed away on the 17th of November 2024, about a year after receiving a metastatic melanoma diagnosis.

Tom had lived in Yerington since 1968 and graduated from Yerington High School in 1973. While attending Yerington High School from 1969 to 1973, Tom participated in football, wrestling, FFA (Future Farmers of America) and more.

Over the years, Tom won many blue ribbons for the photographs he entered in the Lyon County Fair and Rodeo. Tom also took photos for the Mason Valley News in the 1980s and 1990s. He was an active member of the Silver Sage Kennel Club and a chaperone for the Juvenile Probation Fresh Air Program.

Tom worked as a custodian for Yerington Elementary School, salesman for the Crescent Garage, photographer for the Mason Valley News, and more.

Upon retirement, Tom devoted his life to woodworking and volunteering at the Lyon County Museum where he served as the maintenance person, volunteer coordinator, and go-to person for any need that arose. His love of the museum was well-known in the community. Donations to the Lyon County Museum in his honor would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers.
