Jeanette LaVonna Ricker Laid to Rest at Elm Tree Cemetery in Mason Valley, Nevada

Jeanette LaVonna Ricker, 84, a Carson City resident since 1976, peacefully passed away on April 22, 2023, with her family by her side.

Born May 22, 1938, in Lawton, OK at the Kiowa Indian Hospital to Lillie Mae and Joel Clifford Johnson. She attended school at Lone Grove, OK. Jeanette moved to San Diego, CA where she met her husband Bruce C. Ricker. They were married on December 4, 1953. Jeanette retired from her civilian position with the Army National Guard in 1998.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her loving husband Bruce, her parents, sister Claudette, and grandson Nathan. She leaves behind her sisters LaDonna, Dee and Becky, sons Jon and Jim, daughter Cindy, six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

A memorial service for Jeanette will be held at FitzHenry’s Funeral Home on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Jeanette will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at the Elm Tree Cemetery in Yerington, NV.
