BATTLE BORN MEDEVAC SPEAKS TO YERINGTON ROTARY ON CRITICAL AIR SERVICES

Yerington NV – October 14, 2026

YERINGTON, NV — The Rotary Club of Yerington welcomed Brad Kitts, Chief Operating Officer of Battle Born Medevac, as the guest speaker during its regular weekly meeting on Tuesday, October 13.

Kitts provided members with an inside look at how emergency medical flight services operate across Nevada, emphasizing the pivotal role air transports play in safeguarding health and saving lives in rural, medically underserved communities.

During his presentation, Kitts detailed Battle Born Medevac’s operational framework, medical flight capabilities, and strategic positioning to deliver rapid transport for critically ill or injured patients. In expansive rural regions like Lyon County—where distance and travel time to tertiary care centers or specialized trauma units can pose significant barriers—timely air medical transport serves as a critical lifeline for patients requiring urgent care.

A key message was that emergency medical air service isn’t just about quick transit; it’s about bringing ICU-level care directly to a patient’s bedside, no matter how remote the location.

Kitts also highlighted the vital partnerships required between air medical transport services, local volunteer fire departments, EMS personnel, and regional hospitals to ensure seamless patient handoffs and rapid response times across rural Nevada.

Kitts states that South Lyon Medical Center, Mason Valley Fire Department and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office all played critical roles in getting this program started in Yerington.

The presentation concluded with a dynamic question-and-answer session, where Rotary members engaged with Kitts on local coverage, operational logistics, and community partnership opportunities.

The Rotary Club of Yerington continues its commitment to bringing local leaders, healthcare professionals, and civic speakers to weekly meetings to keep the community informed on key developments affecting Mason Valley and surrounding regions.
