Every year, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office participates in dozens of Trunk or Treat events throughout Lyon County on various dates. Around the office, these events are affectionately referred to as T.O.T.S.

These events give our deputies and staff another opportunity to break down barriers between law enforcement and the youth we serve. Building positive relationships with our children and families is an important part of community policing, and these events are always a great way to connect with the community.

The T.O.T.S. are always well attended, and our youth seem to especially enjoy taking candy from the Deputies and Sheriff’s Office staff!

Below is the current list of T.O.T.S. that the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has been invited to attend. Every year, organizations add additional events to the list, so we will continue updating it as new invitations come in.

If you are hosting a Trunk or Treat and would like the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office to include it on our list, please add the information in the comments or use the email provided near the end of this message, and we will add it to the schedule.

Attending community events and being actively involved in our communities is a top priority of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office. The relationships we have developed through increased community involvement have been beneficial not only to the Sheriff’s Office, but to the communities we serve as well.

If your child dresses up as a police officer or deputy, they may be asked to cover a shift or two, so have them ready! You never know when we might need a little extra help keeping Lyon County safe.
