June 29, 2026 – WALKER RIVER MINORS BASEBALL ARE NEVADA DISTRICT 3 CHAMPIONS!!!
Winnemucca defeated our Minors team earlier this morning to force a decisive “if” game.
Your Walker River players came hungry and ready!
After a strong early showing from Winnemucca, Walker River pulled away at the end for the victory.
Congratulations to Winnemucca on a great tournament and congratulations to our Walker River players for an outstanding performance and District Championship!

June 29, 2026 – WALKER RIVER JUNIORS BASEBALL ARE NEVADA DISTRICT 3 CHAMPIONS!
After a tight and competitive game versus High Desert (Fernley) Walker River came away victorious by a final score of 4-3.
Walker River was led on the mound by Andres Rodriguez who threw 5 innings recording 10 strikeouts and 0 earned runs.
To close it out Walker River River called on Adan Juarez who threw 2 innings with 0 earned runs while collecting 4 punch outs.

June 25, 2026 – Walker River Little League Senior Boys are NEVADA DISTRICT 3 CHAMPIONS!
Yerington, NV – In a back and forth game with High Desert LL (Fernley) the Walker River Senior Baseball All Stars emerged victorious to claim their 2nd consecutive Nevada District 3 Championship and advance to the Nevada State tournament.

11 year old Majors Baseball player, Romijo Conchola, performs the National Anthem to kick off the Seniors Baseball All Stars tournament in Yerington.
You did fantastic Romijo! Wow!!!!! All Star performance!
The Nevada State tournament will consist of the District winners from District 1 (Reno/Carson) and District 2 & 4 (Southern Nevada/Vegas).

June 23, 2026 – Walker River Little League Softball Team: NEVADA DISTRICT 3 CHAMPIONS!
Walker River All Stars Defeat Fernley All Stars in Elko, Nevada. Advance to State Tournament.
-Walker River came from behind to dispatch Fernley on Tuesday at Newton Field in Elko,12-4.
Fernley jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Rayven J doubled, scoring two runs, and Amelia H singled, scoring one run.
Walker River tied the game in the top of the third thanks to a triple by Giselle Z, and a fielder’s choice by Kyah M.
A double by Aria P gave Fernley the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the third.
In the top of the fourth inning, Walker River went back into the lead after Aliyah L doubled down the right field line, and Caliyah M singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Walker River scored six runs on six hits in the top of the fifth inning. Yareli G doubled, scoring one run, Kyah grounded out, scoring one run, Sienna B singled, scoring one run, Madilynn J tripled, scoring two runs, and Alejandra J singled, scoring one run.
Caliyah stepped in the circle first for Walker River. The hurler surrendered eight hits and four runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking one. Emma G stepped in the circle first for Fernley. The pitcher allowed seven hits and five runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking three.
Walker River amassed 14 hits in the game. Yareli, Josie J, Caliyah, and Giselle each collected two hits for Walker River. Madilynn, Kyah, and Giselle each drove in two runs for Walker River.
Fernley amassed eight hits in the game. Rayven drove the middle of the lineup, leading Fernley with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Hayven R and Rayven each collected two hits for Fernley.

June 27, 2026 – Our Walker River Little League Majors Baseball All Stars battled hard but came up short.
They were eliminated from play today by Silverada (Dayton) Little League.
We would like to thank the coaches, the families, the players and our many fans for all of their support on this exciting run.
We would also like to congratulate Silverada and wish them the best on their tournament journey.

June 22, 2026 – Our WRLL Minors girls battled hard, but ultimately came up short one game shy of the Championship round.
These girls have a lot to be proud of. They got better and better with every game and these experiences will carry them into next season and keep them hungry for more.
We are very proud of our coaches, parents and players who all sacrificed so much to give the girls this experience.
Sophia Chico was awarded the Golden Glove award for Walker River. This award is selected by Nevada District 3 staff, and is awarded to the player they feel best exemplified skill, sportsmanship, and integrity during play. Congratulations Sophia!

Walker River Little League 2026: 500 players (from 4 years through 16 years old) from Schurz, Smith Valley and Yerington, Nevada! Thank you to the players, parents, coaches, family, referees, groundskeepers, concession stand operators, announcers, volunteers, board members, sponsors, ball-field builders…EVERYONE who plays a part in building Character, Courage, and Loyalty.
