Sofia Kling: 2026 Queen of the Yerington Portuguese Festa!

The Yerington Portuguese Organization would also like to honor Sofia Kling as our Queen for this year!

Sofia, born in Fallon, NV and is the second youngest of four sisters. Family is a prevalent part of her life – along with love for her sisters, Sofia also greatly enjoys being an aunt to her one year old nephew.

She is a dedicated student and athlete, with an accomplished academic record, Sofia hopes to one day become a doctor. She also is a member of the Holy Family Youth Group and looks forward to the continuation of learning more about her faith. In addition to her academic successes, Sofia also is a committed athlete with three years in Cross Country and Track, and hopes to continue her athletic career once she starts high school.

We are honored to have Sofia Kling as our queen for this year, and would like to extend our congratulations for her accomplishments.

Reminder that this year’s festa starts with a 10:00am mass at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Yerington on Sunday, June 7,2026; followed by a noon lunch of traditional sopas, Portuguese beans, and sweet bread at the Catholic Hall.
