Albert Munoz passed away at his home in Yerington, Nevada on Sunday, April 19, 2026 after a long illness. He was 88.
Albert was born in Eldorado, Texas on April 8, 1938 to Antonio and Juanita (Deleon) Munoz. After high school he joined the United States Marine Corps. He married Karen McVey in Modesto, California in 1988. They moved to Yerington in 2005. Albert had worked as a carpenter for many years and locally he had worked for Hammond Furniture

He is survived by his wife, Karen; his three children, Jody, Anthony and Joe and his step-son, Jeremy Reed; his 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sons, Robert and James.
A graveside service with military honors will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 14 Veterans Way in Fernley. Following the service in Fernley a gathering will be held at the Club House at the Pioneer Mobile Home Park, 815 West Bridge Street in Yerington.
