Stagecoach, Nevada – The Lyon County Stagecoach Citizen Advisory Board would like to welcome everyone to a World War II Pearl Harbor Memorial Re-dedication Ceremony and USS Nevada Remembrance on Sunday, December 7th, 1:00 PM. Stagecoach Community Center (also called the old fire station), 8204 W. Hwy 50 in Stagecoach. We will come together to honor and remember those who sacrificed their lives and left a lasting legacy and remember the USS Nevada, BB-36.
All are welcome to attend this free event; refreshments will be provided. The Reno Elks Treble Makers choir will be singing a selection of patriotic songs throughout the ceremony. The ceremony will feature an honor guard, words of tribute, 21-gun salute, a live bugler performing taps, liberty bell replica for tolling of the bell, and moment of silence. Lyon County Commissioner Tammy Hendrix will be taking part in the re-dedication. Let us stand together in unity, celebrate the lives we cherish, and ensure their memory lives on.
