**Yerington Police Department Responds to Bomb Threat at Raley’s**
Yerington, NV – March 21, 2025 – At approximately 8:10 AM today, the Yerington Police Department (YPD) was dispatched to Raley’s in Yerington following a reported bomb threat. Officers from the YPD and deputies from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office immediately responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, it was determined that an unidentified individual had called the store, demanding an unspecified sum of money under the threat of detonating an explosive device within the premises. Raley’s has informed law enforcement that similar threats have been made to other Raley’s locations in California.
The store was promptly evacuated, and a bomb detection dog has been requested to conduct a thorough search of the premises. Raley’s will remain closed to the public until it has been declared safe to reopen.
