3rd Judicial District Court Files Administrative Order for Election-Related Matters
Yerington, Nevada – The Third Judicial District Court has filed Administrative Order No. 24-02- (AO 24-02), effective October 29, 2024, which authorizes filings and hearings to be conducted beyond regular court hours in response to election-related matters that may arise on Election Day Tuesday, November 5, 2024. By this order, the Court intends to prepare for the possibility of actions relating to the elections process that may be filed after regular business hours, or which may require an emergency hearing to be conducted after regular business hours.
Any filings on Election Day shall be filed through the Court’s EFLEX portal and all parties to the action shall be immediately notified of the filings. The EFLEX portal will be monitored by the Court Clerk between the hours of 5:00PM and 12:00AM to facilitate the filing of any action after hours.
If an action is filed on Election Day that requires a hearing to take place after hours, the hearing will be conducted virtually via Zoom. The media and/or public may also view the hearings via the Zoom.
