Obituary for Jeffrey (Big Jeff) Allen Otto, Sr.: September 28,1963 to September 14, 2024

Jeffrey (Big Jeff) Allen Otto, Sr. passed away at South Lyon Medical Center, Yerington on Saturday, September 14, 2024.  He was 60 years old.

Jeff was born in California on September 28, 1963 to Woodie & Rick Otto. He was raised and attended school in California where he received his GED. He met his wife Melissa through his brother Steve Otto. Jeff & Melissa were married in 1990 & had two sons. He was a plumber in California. In 2003 the family moved to Yerington where he was a plumber for some time until he became a truck driver.

Jeff loved to fish, camp & anything outdoors. He loved his family & watching his grandkids play sports. He also loved watching UFC fights, boxing & the National Geographic Channel. He was a kind man with a big heart. He treated everyone fairly & and “wasn’t one to gossip”.

Jeff is preceded in death by his brother Steve Otto. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Melissa Otto of Yerington; his mother & father, Woodie & Rick Otto of Yerington; his two sons, Jeffrey Otto, Jr. (daughter-in-law Rebecca) of Yerington & Alex Otto of Yerington; sister Tammie Enox of Yerington; & seven amazing grandchildren, Travis, Seth, Alex Jr., Easton, Esca, Weston & Zoey Otto who will miss him every day. With his passing he leaves a giant hole.

 A Memorial service will be held for Big Jeff on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Highway 208, Yerington, NV.
