Obituary: Dollye Elizabeth Amstrup ~ July 17,1925 to June 15, 2024

Dollye Elizabeth Amstrup passed away at her home in Yerington, Nevada on Saturday, June 15, 2024.  She was 98 years old.

Dollye was born July 17, 1925 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Paul and Helen Jersig.

Dollye was a long-time resident of Yerington.  She was  a Charter member of the Red Hats, a 30 year member of the Eastern Star and member of the United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Arthur; a granddaughter, Laine Pearson and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Lola.

Dollye’s memorial service will be held at the Community United Methodist Church, 221 N. Main Street in Yerington on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 11:00 am.  Family and friends are invited to sign her online guest book at www.FRFH.net

On June 15th, 2024, Dollye’s friend, Deborah Dibble, wrote of Dollye: “My friend Dollye Elizabeth Amstrup passed away today: 6/15/2024.

Her dog, Bella, was her dream dog and with my help she was able to walk her when she was 87 years old and for many more years.

Dollye was my biggest fan. In another month she would have had her 99th birthday. We shared a love of knitting and crochet, we spent many happy Saturdays doing that together. Rest in peace my friend, you’ve earned it.“
