Battle Born Medevac Responded to 1st Call for Service: June 19, 2024

Mason Valley, Nevada and its surrounding communities are entering a new era in ALS (advanced life support) for the sick & injured.

After years of planning and months of licensing & working on the finer details, Battle Born Medevac took its 1st ALS dispatch on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

Battle Born Medevac is a private service based locally, and has been working closely with the Yerington/Mason Valley Fire Protection District and with South Lyon Medical Center from its beginning.

Medical emergency calls will continue to be addressed through the Lyon County 911 Dispatch Center. Any ALS need will be determined by emergency responders based on accepted guidelines for emergency care.

Battle Born Medevac wrote: “Today, at 1133, Battle Born Medevac 1 officially entered into service. At 1134, we received our first call for service. We are beyond excited to begin serving this community! Thank you to all of those who have made this possible. We look forward to serving the residents of Lyon County and the surrounding areas over the years to come!”
