Yerington Resident Spots Desert Bighorn at the top of USA Parkway

Yerington resident Linda Dunger spotted this Bighorn Sheep at the top of USA Parkway near the old Ramsey mine on Monday, April 30, 2024. Linda remembers that NDOW Nevada Department of Wildlife had transferred a small herd up in that area years ago, but few people had reported seeing any Bighorn there.

Linda wrote, “He was in the rocks right next to the road!”
