On Tuesday, March 20, 2024 Yerington Lion’s Club hosted it’s annual speech contest with 6 Yerington High School students competing; student families, club members, judges and guests attending.
YHS competitors included Ailton Pineda, Casey Bobrick, Gracie Jeka, Riley Aldridge, Ruby Rodriquez and Will Justice who had won their high school competition with dozens of other students in January.
The topic for this annual contest was, “What risk does A.I. pose to the future of American Culture?” (A.I. stands for Artificial Intelligence.)
Will Justice was the winner of the Tuesday night competition, and he will now move on to the Zone Competition on March 19th.
Here is the President of the Yerington Lion’s Club Steve Douglas with Ailton Pineda, Casey Bobrick, Gracie Jeka, Riley Aldridge, Ruby Rodriquez and Will Justice (not in order).
