February 10, 2024 ~ Yerington High Wrestling reported:
“Congratulations to YHS Wrestling for an outstanding job at regionals.
For Girls regionals we had one placer, Danika Gutierrez who took first.
Boys regionals we were 2nd place as a team and have several going to state.
Earning 1st places were Victoria Armenderiz, Nathaniel Gutierrez, Hector Ramirez and John Thompson.
2nd placers included Jisinia Cervantes, Eric Pineda, Seth Otto and Liam Foster.
In 3rd places were Korbin Sencion and Juan Cervantes; with 4th placer Ceasar Ramirez.
Next week we will see what this team does at State!”
