Timothy Wayne Bowman ~ February 19, 1966 to February 2023 ~ “Knew a little bit about lots of things”

Timothy Wayne Bowman was born in Reno, Nevada on February 19th, 1966 to Wayne Bowman and Claudia Mattice Bowman.  The family lived in Reno and Sparks.  Tim graduated from Sparks High School in 1985.  His main occupation was a millwright.  He worked in mines all over Nevada.  He moved to Yerington in 2014 to be close to his father.

Tim was always happy to help anyone in need and loved mentoring children.  He also had a passion for VORRA racing and spent many years racing and supporting other VORRA teams.  He was also very involved with his church, New Hope Bible Fellowship.  He cooked Sunday meals for the congregation and enjoyed working with and teaching bible study to the children at the church.

Tim was kind of a jack of all trades.  He knew a little bit about lots of things and he enjoyed imparting that knowledge to help all the people in his life.

Tim passed away just before his birthday in February 2023.  Tim was preceded in death by his father, his mother, his sister Deborah Lynn Ruth, his Aunt Gloria Hill, and his Uncle Reggie Mattice.  He is survived by five nieces and nephews, several aunts and uncles including Mitch Mattice, Gordon Bowman, Donna Thomas, Karen Munson, and Patte McIntire among others and by numerous cousins and several other family members.

There will be a celebration of this life on Saturday, March 25th at 2:00 pm at the New Hope Bible Fellowship located at 5B 2nd South Street; Mason, NV.  Donations may be made to help defray his funeral costs to Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home (25 Hwy 208; Yerington, Nv.  89447) or New Hope Bible Fellowship (5B 2nd South Street; Yerington, NV.  89447)
