Frank Smith ~ Loving Husband and Father, Entered Eternal Life at the age of 85 in Yerington, Nevada

On Monday, July 25, 2022, Frank Smith, loving husband and father, entered eternal life at the age of 85 at his home in Yerington, Nevada.
Frank was born in Loma Linda, California to Elmer and Charlotte (Motte) Smith.  Frank graduated from Perris High School and attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on a football scholarship for one year before returning to Nuevo, California to farm and raise a family.
In March of 1979 and after his divorce, Frank moved to Dyer (Fish Lake Valley), Nevada to farm the Bar Double 9 Ranch.
In 1985 he became part owner of the Esmeralda Market, built the Boonies Bar & Restaurant and ran for Esmeralda County Commissioner and re-married. He served as commissioner until 1992.
When Frank retired from farming in 1999, he and his wife, Karen, moved back to Nuevo, California to work with his son on property development.
In 2017 Frank and Karen moved to Yerington, Nevada to raise their granddaughter.
Frank is predeceased by his father, mother and a brother, Marvin in 2013.
Frank is survived by his wife, Karen, sons, Brian (Adrienne) Smith, Mark (Robine) Smith, Joseph Nickerson, Bobby McAnally, daughters, Angela Nickerson and Carinne McAnally. 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a sister, Janet (Jim) Barberie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life is set for Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 3:00 pm at New Hope Bible Fellowship Church, 5 2nd South St. #B, Yerington, Nevada.
