Yerington Lions Kick Off Their Season on Thursday, August 18th Hosting Dayton Dust Devils

The Yerington Lions kick off their 2022 season Thursday, August 18th as they host the Dayton Dust Devils.

The Yerington Lions are returning the majority of the players on offense from their 2021 State Championship team.  The Lions will be led by Senior Running backs / Line Backers Erick Rodriguez and Felix Garcia.

Sophomore Cameron Reyes will be taking the helm as the Quarterback of the Varsity team.

The Lion Defense which allowed league low 84 points last season is also returning the majority of players from the 2021 State Championship team.

The Defense will be led by Seniors Justin Evasovic, Vaughn Angle, Travis Otto and Sammy Rios.

Hosting the Dust Devils is a good early challenge for the Lions.  The Dustdevils are in a division above the Lions and have a talented team.

The Lions will be looking to establish the run game early, and put pressure on the Dustdevils Offense with an athletic, aggressive defense.

The Yerington Lions are the back to back Nevada State Champions and look to make a run on a third in a row.

JV Kick Off – 4:00 PM
