Large Debris Fire Lights Up the Night in Silver Springs Early Friday Morning ~ Visible from Hwy 95A

Upon arrival fire fighters found a large back yard of debris on fire and initiated fire attack and exposure protection. The Lyon County Road Department  provided heavy equipment to assist suppression efforts.

CLCFPD remained on scene for an extended period of time and advised that fire and smoke would be visible as residents awoke and began commuting to work.

There were no reported injuries and a cause has not been determined at this time.
