County Commission has full Agenda on August 5, 2021
The Lyon County Board of Commissioners will meet on August 5, 2021 at 9:00 AM. They have a full agenda including:
9:15 AM Human Resources will ask the Board to recognize employees that have hit 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 year milestones.
9:30 AM Carson City Health and Human Services will provide the Board with an update on COVID response and recovery
10:30 AM The Board will be asked to take action on a Sewer Bond Ordinance
Community Development Department is asking the Board to adopt the 2020 Master Plan update and to propose three ordinances amending Title 15 Land Use and Development Code. One ordinance proposes to limit where and when 4500 square foot minimum lots and land use and development standards are allowed. Another ordinance proposes to amend the calculation of allowable land use density based on net acreage to gross density in a Planned Unit Development (PUD) and the final ordinance proposes to amend the final decision on major variance applications from the Planning Commission to the Board of Commissioners.
The County Manager is requesting the Board to approve the Nevada Agreement on Allocation of Opioid Recoveries. Commissioner Keller has requested an agenda item to name the Justice Complex in Yerington the Donald J. Trump Justice Complex. The Board is being asked to authorize staff to proceed forward with the planning and design process for a Dayton Government Center on property owned by the County on Dayton Valley Road. Lyon County Information Technology is requesting approval of a services contract for Lyon County to provide IT services to the City of Yerington.
