GOD’S PANTRY – NEIGHBOR HELPING NEIGHBOR: Wednesday 12/20 @ 10am to 1pm ~ Yerington Methodist Church

God’s Pantry will be open this month on Wednesday, December 20 from 10:00 AM to 1:00PM. God’s Pantry is a community service program offering personal hygiene and household cleaning products at no cost to those in need.  The Pantry is sponsored by Community United Methodist Church of Yerington and is open every 3rd Wednesday of the month at the church using the drive through format.  Enter the church parking lot at 222 N. Center St and order from your car.  God’s Pantry offers 28 commonly needed products such as soaps, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, personal wipes, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry soap, paper towels, tissues, etc.  Each month participants can select up to 4 items.

Participants do not need to qualify, just have a self-identified need for assistance. Young families to Seniors and everyone in between are served every month.

Please help the God’s Pantry volunteers spread the word.  If you know someone who could be helped by this program, please tell them about it. For folks that go to the Food Pantry on Wednesdays, just go north on Center St. and pick up some non-food items.  If you have new, unopened hygiene or cleaning products that you would like to donate to God’s Pantry you can call the church, leave a message if no one answers, and they will contact you. 775-463-2174  Monetary donations are also accepted and go 100% toward the purchase of products.  Make checks out to CUMC and put “God’s Pantry” in the memo line. Send to CUMC,  PO Box 109, Yerington, NV  89447.  For more information contact Kris Beck, 775-771-3050 text or call.

God’s Pantry has served approximately 100 households every month for the last 3.5 years.  We thank God that he has enabled us to provide this service to our community throughout the Pandemic and continuing on.

The event is finished.
