Spring is here and many songbirds are already busy building nests for the breeding season. At this June’s Campout attendees will have the opportunity to take a guided bird watching tour, build bluebird nest boxes, and monitor established boxes for nesting activity. Participants will also learn about the rich habitat surrounding the Walker River and enjoy a sunset hike to a sweeping view of the park.
All Conservation Campout activities will take place June 10th -11th at Walker River State Recreation Area. Camping at the WRSRA is free for this event after registering and families are welcome.
Saturday campfire dinner and a Sunday breakfast will also be provided by the Conservancy. For any questions, please contact Community Engagement Manager Brice Boland at brice.boland@walkerbasin.org or 775-463-9887 x 112.
