The Pizen Switch Times is a news site and 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which is operated by Leah Wilkinson and her son, Darin Wilkinson. Leah works a full time job in civil service, but takes pictures & writes the articles when time permits. Darin created and maintains the website.
Local photojournalists and others submit information and press releases for publication in the Pizen Switch Times.
After the Mason Valley News was discontinued in the Fall of 2020 (It became the Lyon County News Leader through the Reno Gazette Journal), we wanted to make a news site so that there could be news for people in Yerington and the surrounding areas. Community highlights, information, and news ties us together: those who live in Mason Valley, and those in whom Mason Valley lives.
The Pizen Switch Times is free to read on this website and we hope you all enjoy it.
