Serving Those Who Served: Keystone Club Gives Back to Local Veteran

The City of Yerington would like to express our gratitude to our local Keystone Club of the Boys & Girls Club of Mason Valley. Thank you to the adult leaders Matt Phillips and William Kling for showing these kids the ropes.

These young leaders came together today to help clean a yard for a local veteran.

With Veteran’s Day in two months we thought this act of kindness was worthy of highlighting in the hopes that it serves as a reminder to serve those who have served our country.

Way to go kids, and thank you to all who have served!

The Keystone Club is a character & leadership development program for teens ages 14-18 members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley.

Teens in the club work with adult advisors to plan and participate in activities across three main areas:

• Academic Success: Tutoring, study help, and educational goal-setting.
• Career Preparation: Resume building, job readiness, and money management classes.
• Community Service: Volunteering and local projects to help improve their neighborhoods and clubhouses.
