What an incredible weekend for our community!

From the music, camping, and fun at Night in the Country to the beautiful fields, amazing vendors, and family-friendly experiences at Lavender Days, our community was buzzing with visitors and hometown pride.

These events don’t just happen; they are made possible by dedicated volunteers who give countless hours behind the scenes. From months of planning to early mornings, late nights, setup, cleanup, parking, greeting guests, and everything in between, these volunteers work tirelessly to create experiences that bring people together and showcase the very best of our community.

To every volunteer, organizer, sponsor, vendor, and supporter: Thank you. Your commitment, passion, and willingness to serve make a lasting impact. You help create memories for thousands of visitors while strengthening the community we all call home.

Community events thrive because people step up, lend a hand, and work together toward a common goal. This weekend was a wonderful reminder of what can be accomplished through volunteerism, collaboration, and community spirit.

Lavender Days Extra: Why Does Lavender Grow So Well in Nevada?

Lavender may look soft and delicate, but it is actually one tough little plant—and Nevada gives it many of the conditions it loves.

Our abundant sunshine, dry climate and well-draining soil help lavender thrive. It prefers dry roots, plenty of airflow and lots of sun, which makes our high-desert growing conditions a surprisingly good fit.

Nevada’s warm days and cooler nights can also help produce beautifully fragrant blooms—which is one reason our local farms are able to grow such wonderful lavender right here at home.

At Lavender Days, you’ll have the opportunity to meet local growers, see the different ways lavender is used and take home farm-grown products made right here in Nevada.
