Yerington NV – July 4, 2026
Myron Scott Whalin, 83, passed away peacefully at home, May 29, 2026, in Yerington, Nevada. Scott was born March 29, 1943, in Kittery, Maine, to Mildred and Myron Whalin. Scott had one brother, Eliot (deceased).

After high school, Scott joined the Army which deployed him to Alaska where he married Anna Henry and welcomed 4 children, W. Scott (deceased), Frances, JoAnn and Elizabeth (deceased). He later married Becky with whom he shared over 51 years.
In Alaska, he worked as a Fish & Wildlife Officer, later employed as a glazier and an airplane mechanic/fabricator. Upon retirement, he and Becky moved to Yerington, Nevada.
Scott had many hobbies and interests, including fly tying and fly fishing, trapping, crafting long bows and arrows, photography, muzzleloading and reloading shells for hunting big game, birds and sporting clays. He also acquired his pilots license and A & P license, allowing him to maintain and fly his super cub, something he truly enjoyed.

Scott will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and supportive friend, as well as story and joke teller. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at his home at 23 Mand Chris Drive at noon on July 18, 2026.
