Obituary for Donald Lee Bartlett: February 5, 1945 to January 2, 2026

Donald Lee Bartlett was born February 5, 1945 the son of Ann Bartlett in Lawndale, California. He was 80 Years 10 Months 28 days of age on January 2, 2026. He almost made it to 81.

Don had been a resident in Yerington for 40 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene for 45 years. Don was the son Ann Bartlett born in Lawndale, CA. He had 3 brothers – KC, Nick, Charles; a sister, Marie; and son, Sean who all preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene for almost 45 years; and his daughter-in-law, Gabi Bartlett; and grandchildren Brody, Oliver and Ireland; adopted daughter, Tara Luning and grandchildren Michaela, Mathew and great grandson Malachi; stepsons Christopher and Dustin Meierhoff, Lacy; and grandkids DJ Meierhoff, Crimsyn, Jacob, Evan Dini and Erin Dini.

Don graduated from Rancho High School in Las Vegas in 1964. He attended BYU Brigham Young University, went on a Northern United States mission, and was drafted into the Army & sent to Vietnam.

He worked for the Clark County Sheriff’s Department for 11 years. He worked as a photographer, carpenter, sports announcer, and taught high school Economy, Woodwork, History, Computers and Photojournalism. Don mastered them all until he retired.

His graveside service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the Valley View Cemetery in Yerington.
