Local Musicians Shine at Classical Elegance Event!

Through a Child’s Eyes Foundation together with the Lyon County Museum’s Board of Trustees presented the Foundation’s second annual Classical Elegance series highlighting local musicians Katrina Frizzell, flutist, Denise Aiazzi, violinist, and Devon Shifflett, pianist along with vocalist, Cheryl Giomi.

Performers dazzled their audience with music spanning Baroque to the Romantic periods highlighting master composers Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, and P.I. Tchaikovsky in addition to less known composers of the eras such as Edward Mollenhauer, Jules Massenet, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Francois Couperin, and Betty Jackson King.

Lyon County Museum was the perfect venue for this performance as guests were surrounded by historic exhibits and treasures of our past while listening to beautiful music.

Through a Child’s Eyes Foundation’s Classical Elegance series was created to bring the magic of the stage to our local musicians by providing unique performance opportunities and experiences for performers and our audience. Plans are already underway for next year’s Classical Elegance event!
