David Arthur Cardoza passed away suddenly on Friday, September 26, 2025, surrounded by his family at Renown Medical Center, Reno, Nevada. He was 77.
David was a certified Welder and Carpenter through the Carpenters Union Apprenticeship Program and went on to build many of the structures you’ve visited in DC, Seattle, Northern California and Nevada. While serving in the US Air Force, as Crew Chief, he flew overhead in B52 Bombers during the Vietnam War.
David is survived by his wife of 50 years, Teresa, two children, Jesse and Angie, his brother, Lee, his sisters, Bernie and Barbara, nieces Stephanie, DJ, Audra, and Teresa, and nephews, Tim, Jeff, Anthony and many others who thought of him as family.
David was known for his infectious smile, quick wit, engaging exchanges, and artistic mind. He loved fishing and gardening, and went out of his way to help a friend in need.
His graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 am at Valley View Cemetery in Yerington, Nevada. Family and friends are invited to sign his online guest book at www.FRFH.net.
David’s love, dedication, and support for his family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He had a magnetic presence that drew people to him, forming relationships and memories that stand the test of time.
